‘Physical’ game costs LHS girls

? The Olathe South girls basketball team held Lawrence High’s leading scorer to eight points in a 47-25 rout Thursday.

“They were playing very, very physical, and we let that affect us,” LHS coach Kristin Mallory said.

Tania Jackson led the Lions with eight points. Danielle Bird was held to six.

The Falcons won the battle at the free-throw line, 23-11.

LHS fell to 4-4 and will play K.C. Turner on Tuesday.
