Second-grader would like Big Brother for games, sports
Are you still looking for a New Year’s resolution? How about making a difference in a child’s life this year?
Jeremy is a second-grader in Lawrence who is waiting for a Big Brother through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Douglas County program. Jeremy likes to do many typical activities like wrestling, playing PlayStation 2, skateboarding, swimming, bike riding and anything else sports-related.
He likes school, especially math, art, gym and music. Jeremy also loves cars – playing with them and drawing them. He would benefit greatly from the positive attention of a caring volunteer. He is excited about being matched with someone who is fun and likes to play.
For more information about the program or to become Jeremy’s Big Brother, contact the organization at 843-7359 or attend an informational meeting at 5:15 p.m. Tuesdays or noon Wednesdays at 1525 W. Sixth St., Suite A. More information can be found at www.mentoringmagic.org.
