Meeting to focus on jobs for disabled

People with ideas about how to help Kansans with disabilities become employed are invited to attend a meeting 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Kansas Social and Rehabilitation Service Center, 1901 Del.

The meeting will be conducted by Kansas Rehabilitation Services, the state agency that supports people with disabilities in the workplace.

The meeting is one of 18 being held across the state.

“I’m pleased to be visiting Lawrence and hope that we have a good turnout of people from the area who are interested in employment and vocational rehabilitation services for people with disabilities,” said Michael Donnelly, KRS director.

“Whether you are a person with a disability, a family member, service provider, school official or advocate, I hope you come and participate,” he said.
