Lakers’ Brown out with sprained ankle

? Los Angeles Lakers center Kwame Brown expects to be out several weeks because of a severely sprained left ankle.

He was injured Sunday night. Lakers spokesman John Black said Tuesday that Brown would be reassessed in 10 days to two weeks.

“We’ll give a target date when he’s re-evaluated,” he said. “We’re talking weeks, not days.”

Brown underwent a CT scan and MRI Monday, with both coming back negative for a fracture.
