Berg’s 3 saves Baldwin

? Junior Drew Berg hit a three-pointer in the closing seconds to give Baldwin High’s boys basketball team a 44-43 victory over Paola on Tuesday night.

Senior Blake Wieden scored 17 points, while Berg contributed 11 for the Bulldogs (4-1).

Baldwin will play host to Wellsville on Friday.

Baldwin – Despite three double-digit scorers, the Bulldogs couldn’t get past the Panthers.

Kelsey Verhaeghe, Heather Garcia and Callie Craig led the Baldwin (3-2) with 17, 14 and 13 points, respectively.

The Bulldogs will play host to Wellsville on Friday.

Emily Hunter and Laura Smith scored nine points apiece to lead the Kaws (1-5), who will return to action Friday at Basehor-Linwood.
