Ben Carrywater and Wacy Weeks of Haskell Indian Nations University earned berths on the All-Midland Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s basketball team as chosen by MCAC coaches.

Carrywater, a 6-foot-3 sophomore from Harlem, Mont., and Weeks, a 6-5 senior from Wolf Point, Mont., were chosen to the 12-member first team.

Teammate Kirk Brown earned honorable mention and was tapped MCAC freshman of the year. Brown is a 6-4 forward from Walthill, Neb.

At the same time, the MCAC women’s coaches selected HINU’s Kortney Smith, a 5-8 sophomore from Bartlesville, Okla., to their 12-member first team.

The Fightin’ Indians’ Amber Tecumseh and Whitney Warrior earned honorable mention. Tecumseh is a 5-7 senior from Mayetta and Warrior a 5-11 junior from Stilwell, Okla.
