Grinter earns conservation award
Jim Grinter of Lawrence is one of several people who earned conservation awards from the Kansas Wildlife Federation earlier this month. Grinter was named water conservationist of the year.
T. J. Hittle, a leader in the Kansas Canoe and Kayak Association, was tapped overall conservationist of the year.
Other honorees were Linda Stewart of Junction City, Charlie Cope of Wichita, Max Good of Parsons, Joyce Lent of Wichita, Francis Bennett of Williamsburg, Philip Balch of Topeka, Melinda Harder of Andover and Marvin and Jack Dohrman of Bushton.
