I am so sick of media coverage about this issue showing the “poor persecuted smoker” lighting up in a film noir sort of way. Why not just once show someone dying of lung cancer or wearing an oxygen cannula around their neck?

This is about the rights of private businesses and ADULTS to make their own decisions in a free society. Alcohol causes as many deaths and problems in society, yet there is no call to ban alcohol in restaurants for use by adults.
Business owners should have their rights restored and adults can make their own decision to patronize either smoking or non-smoking establishments free of the neo-puritanism of the nanny state and interference by the new temperance leagues.
