Police seek arrest of ex-North Korean agents

? Police authorities have decided to seek arrest warrants soon for two former officials of the North Korean intelligence agency believed to have directed the abduction in 1978 of Kaoru Hasuike and his future wife, Yukiko.

It will be the first time that Japanese police have requested arrest warrants for agents in North Korean abduction cases.

As soon as the police obtain the arrest warrants, the two will be put on Interpol’s international wanted list.

The nation’s police forces, including the Niigata prefectural police, will seek arrest warrants for the former agents, Kim Nam Jin and Han Kum Nyong.
