New York City ? The once-delayed, much-debated and redesigned Freedom Tower at Ground Zero got the full blessing Tuesday of New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine.

Spitzer said he had completed “an honest and hard analysis” of the World Trade Center site since being elected and now favors the continued construction of the tower “as it is designed” – at a symbolic 1,776 feet.
