Second-grader in need of Big Brother
Trey, a second-grader in Lawrence, is waiting for a Big Brother through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Douglas County program. Trey enjoys lots of typical activities like wrestling, playing PlayStation 2, skateboarding, bike riding, sports and “being loud.”
At school, Trey especially likes reading, art and music. He also really enjoys going to the gym because he gets to swing on the ropes. Trey wants to finish high school and go to college and eventually become a sports agent. Trey needs a Big Brother to help him “collect all the soda cans in the universe so he can make a giant robot.”
If you are interested in helping Trey build his robot, or for more information about the program, contact the organization at 843-7359 or attend an informational meeting at 5:15 p.m. Tuesdays or noon Wednesdays at 1525 W. Sixth St., Suite A. More information can be found at www.mentoringmagic.org.
