Giddens suspended

? Former Kansas University basketball player J.R. Giddens has been suspended indefinitely from New Mexico’s team, coach Ritchie McKay said Saturday.

Giddens, the team’s leading scorer at 16 points a game, was kicked out of practice Friday for undisclosed reasons. He did not attended Saturday’s 74-58 home win over TCU.

The suspension comes after Giddens scored 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting in Wednesday’s 96-83 loss to BYU.
