Chiefs add three to staff

? The Kansas City Chiefs hired three new assistant coaches on Friday, naming Cedric Smith as strength-and-conditioning coach, Bob Bicknell as the assistant offensive-line coach and Kevin Patullo as the offensive-quality-control coach.

Smith spent the past six years as an assistant strength coach for the Denver Broncos. Before coaching, Smith played fullback and spent seven seasons on four NFL teams in the 1990s. Bicknell was most recently the offensive-line coach at Temple. Before that, he coached NFL teams in Europe for two seasons.
