West jumped out to a six point first quarter lead and never looked back, as they beat Blue Valley Northwest 54-41 to advance to Thursday’s title game of the Warhawk Invitational.

The home team used pressure defense to cause turnovers, and long range shooting to put the game away in the third quarter.

West’s Christian Nelson nailed three shots from beyond the arc and finished the game with 17. In all the Warhawks hit five 3-pointers in the contest.

Nick Jaimez added eight points for the Warhawks, while Michael Swank put in seven.
