KU men’s golf 13th in Hawaii

? Kansas University’s men’s golf team stands in 13th place after day two at the Hawaii-Hilo Invitational. The Jayhawks were once again led by senior Gary Woodland who fired a 69, marking his second consecutive round under par. He is currently tied for 29th.

Freshman Patrick Roth shot an even-par 70 and is tied for 42nd. Senior Tyler Docking fired a 72 and is tied for 73rd. Freshman Bobby Knowles followed his career-best round of 68 in round one, with a 75 in round two and is tied for 61st. Sophomore Zach Pederson carded a 74 and stands in a tie for 80th after day two.

“Our lack of preparation really showed today as we made a lot of bad decisions and didn’t play very well,” KU coach Ross Randall said. “We fell back quite a few spots today, and we are really going to need to play well tomorrow and hope that we can pass some teams. We just need more scores under par.”

Play will conclude today.
