Miss USA reveals cocaine use

New York – Miss USA Tara Conner, who nearly lost her crown for hard-partying in New York nightclubs, says in the upcoming issue of People magazine that her recent stint in rehab was a wake-up call.

“I didn’t think I had an issue – but I was willing to do anything to save my job. … I’ve realized that I suffer from the disease of alcoholism and addiction,” says Conner, who logged in 31 days at the Caron Foundation rehab center in Wernersville, Pa.

“I was an equality-opportunity (user) – I would try anything once,” Conner, 21, tells the magazine in its Feb. 12 issue.

At a much-publicized press conference in December, Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA pageant, said the contrite Conner could hold onto her crown if she changed her ways. She then entered rehab.

In her interview in People magazine, her first since leaving treatment, Conner admits that she’s dabbled in cocaine.

“Cocaine was one of the drugs that I did use,” she says. “It’s hard to look back at that.”

Alcohol, though, was her biggest vice.

Her mother, Brenda Johnson, tells the magazine that Conner once showed up to school drunk when she was 14 – the same year she won her first beauty pageant and her parents divorced.

Aniston admits nose job

New York – Yes, Jennifer Aniston got a nose job – just not the kind of nose job you’d think an actress might get.

“It’s funny. I had (a deviated septum) fixed – best thing I ever did,” she says, confirming her recent rhinoplasty in an interview posted Wednesday on People magazine’s Web site. “I slept like a baby for the first time in years. As far as all the other (rumors), as boring as it sounds, it’s still mine. All of it. Still mine.”

She’s hinting at recent tabloid speculation that she underwent plastic surgery to get breast implants.

“Short of letting everybody have a feel, I don’t know what else to do,” she says. “I really am pretty happy with what God gave me.”

Another celeb may face charges in vehicle fatality

Beverly Hills, Calif. – “Prison Break” actor Lane Garrison should be charged with manslaughter and drunken driving for a car crash that killed a teenage passenger and injured two others, police said Wednesday.

Police Chief David L. Snowden said investigators have asked county prosecutors to charge Garrison, 26, with felony gross vehicular manslaughter; driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Investigators recommended that the DUI allegation carry the enhancement that he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.15 percent or more. An adult driver in California is legally over the limit at 0.08 percent.

Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney, said that the police report was under review but that no decision had been made on whether to file charges.

Garrison’s Land Rover jumped a curb and struck a tree Dec. 2, killing 17-year-old Beverly Hills High School student Vahaghn Setian and injuring two 15-year-old girls also in the vehicle. Garrison suffered minor injuries.
