Ex-state worker gets 6 years for child porn
Missouri ? A former state employee was sentenced to six years in prison for promoting child pornography, Platte County prosecutors said Friday.
Roger J. Kromko, 63, a former employee of Missouri’s Division of Family Services, pleaded guilty in October.
He admitted that he used the Internet to distribute images of child pornography.
In December 2006, a Platte County sheriff’s detective working for the Cyber Crimes Unit did an Internet search and found a computer in St. Joseph that offered to distribute child pornography. The computer was later linked to Kromko’s residence.
Kromko retired from Family Services before the child pornography investigation started.
