The University Bridge Club conducted its annual Christmas Bridge Party on Dec. 13 at Alvamar Country Club. The event featured dinner and a bridge session at 10 tables. Hosts were Dan and Carolyn Harden.

Blue winners were Lois Liebert, first; George Bocquin, second; Alice Akin, third; Ray Ikenberry, fourth; Dan Harden, fifth; and John Golden, special prize winner.

Pink winners were Wanda Kring, first; Ailene Bocquin, second; Bonnie Haney, third; Myrna Ikenberry, fourth; Edna Galle, fifth; and Wilma Cropp, special prize winner.

Over the Rainbow Dolls Club met Dec. 15 at the home of Jan Dyer, club president, for its Christmas Tea.

Hostesses were LouAnne Burgess, Janet Lukehart, Gail Brewster, Barbara Walden, Brenda Owens and Jan Dyer.

Brewster and Mikhenna and Mikhaila Brown read an Ann Estelle Christmas story, and Burgess led the group in Christmas games. Members brought food items to be donated to ECKAN, and money was collected and donated to Warm Hearts.

Over the Rainbow’s club doll, Sophie, was the focus of the gift exchange this year.

Next month’s meeting will be at the home of Doris Ottinger.

The Thursday Morning Mentor Bridge Club met Dec. 13, and the game was directed by Lester Dalton.

Marilyn Martin and Madelyn Jenks placed first, followed by Mark Osborn and Brandon Humpert. Chris Lane and Jean Khatib placed third, with Jan Vaughn and Yvonne Hedges in fourth place.

Manoj Kummini and Virginia Seaver were next, followed by Barbara McCorkle and Eldon Herd.

The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club met Dec. 14, and the game was directed by Virginia Seaver.

The North-South players were led by Ed Howard and John Fittell, followed by Lois Clark and Mark Osborn at second in A and first in B. Larry Bodle and Kent McCullough placed third, with Lester Dalton and Betty Collier fourth in A and second in B. Catherine Blumenfeld and Lynn Hui placed first in C.

The East-West players were led by Sally Taylor and Klee Zaricky at first in A and B, followed by Paul Heitzman and David Piro.

Virginia Seaver and Chuck Hedges were third in A, with Ann Thompson and Jolene Andersen placing fourth in A, second in B and first in C.

The Monday Evening Bridge Club met Dec. 17, and the game was directed by Virginia Seaver.

The North-South players had Vince Nordberg and Steven Phelps at first place in A, B and C, with Harry Shaffer and Terry Tolar at second in A.

Chris Lane and Lois Jones placed third, with Adelaide Nyquist and Ed Howard in fourth place. Carl Mibeck and Jack Mibeck placed second in B and C.

The East-West players were led by Sally Taylor and Klee Zaricky at first in A and B, followed by Peter Petillo and David Piro in second place. Jeffrey Nash and Jim Stewart were third in A and second B, with Jeane Landry and Lynn Hui in fourth place. Lois Clark and Craig Huneke placed first in C.
