A commercial dishwasher is on the Lawrence Interdenominational Nutrition Kitchen's Christmas list. LINK coordinator Greg Moore said $2,000 was donated anonymously, but $3,000 more is needed. LINK serves four meals a week to more than 100 people in need.

Donations can be made to the "Dishwasher Fund" at the Lawrence Post Office, P.O. Box 442472.

In this season of "giving" LINK continues to provide a wonderful service to people in need.

A commercial dishwasher is really a good idea for LINK as such equipment truly sanitises the untensils, which hand washing really does not.

There may also be insurance requirements involved but I think that a "commercial" dishwasher is a good idea and a necessary part of the service.

Is it to much to ask the ones that eat, to wash the dishes?

Enabling addiction by LINK(ex-co Diane Morgan, link board) wet shelter, city policies and funding has made our area of town the center of many crimes, mostly violent drug and alcohol related(addiction).

There was a time when LINK stood for a nice clean, quiet place for anyone who wished, for what ever reason to get a meal, as long as they behaved. No longer true.

As far as your invitation or challenge(whatever) about enjoying a meal, I've cooked, cleaned, served and eaten with regulars at LINK when it was a well run volunteer social service. No longer will I contribute time, energy or funds to this kitchen. It is entirely too easy to do charitable work without being in danger of violence by those you wish to assist.

Do understand that I am not standing in your way to do your charity contributions in any manner as you choose without insulting your actions for not agreeing with my methods of giving.

Staff Addition problems?. So many people that can't put two and two together. They do a good service for our residents. Smitty should go down there and enjoy the meal and community.

"gramer" grammar problems:kinda like spelling problems

I know people that would contribute, myself included, if this kitchen had not turned into an enabler for the addition problems.
