School bus, car collide at Sixth Street, Lawrence Avenue
Two students onboard, drivers unhurt
Julie Boyle, a spokeswoman for Lawrence public schools, said a driver who was leaving the Dillons parking lot, 3000 W. Sixth St., at 7:40 a.m. today pulled in front of the First Student school bus that serves Free State High School students.
The bus driver and two students on board were not injured, Boyle said.
Other buses helped take over the route because the wreck did cause some delays for picking up students, she said.
First Student, formerly Laidlaw, is the company contracted to handle transportation for the Lawrence district.
A Douglas County emergency dispatcher said no one was taken to the hospital due to the wreck.
