Snowfall could be lower than expected

We are now expecting snowfall totals to be slightly lower for the overnight. In the evening we did have snow in the area, but with dry air near the surface, the snow evaporated before it made it to the ground. As we go into the overnight the airmass is expected to saturate and eventually snow is in the forecast. After missing out on the evening snowfall, snow totals by Saturday morning are now expected to be lower across the region. Widespread totals should be around 3″-5″ with local regions possibly getting higher totals. Either way it will be a cold and windy start to our Saturday. Wind chills will be in the single digits tomorrow morning with gusty northeast winds around 15-20 mph.
