Coffeyville Taps Dulin: Lawrence native Darian Dulin has been named head football coach at Coffeyville Community College. Dulin, who was assistant head coach at Tarleton (Texas) State, was a Lawrence High defensive back in the early 1990s who later played at Southwestern College.
¢LGA Placings: Lawrence Gymnastics & Athletics earned team gold medals in three levels in the Winter Cup girls gymastics meet last weekend at LGA. Top LGA individual level scores were posted by Filippa Knowles, Gabriela McNitzk, Baylie Moon, Ashlan Alexander, Jessie Abernathy, Rosie Schaumburg, Rachael Schaffer and Genny Salvatore.
¢KU Baseball Camp: Kansas University baseball will conduct a holiday skills camp Dec. 27-29 for youths ages 7-18 in Anschutz Pavilion. Sessions will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lunch provided. Cost: $195. For information, call 864-7955.
¢Holiday Hoops Clinic: Kansas University women’s basketball Holiday Hoops Clinic for youths in kindergarten through eighth grade will be at noon Jan. 1 in Allen Fieldhouse. Parents are invited. ¢Orchards Golf: Orchards Golf Course Duffers meet at noon on Saturdays for nine-hole tournaments, weather permitting. Teams chosen each week. All ages welcome. Cost: $7. Orchards also has a coed winter golf league on Tuesdays.

¢Olson Hole-in-One: Rodney Olson of Lawrence used an 8-iron to ace the 138-yard No. 16 hole at Ventana Canyon Golf Course last week in Tucson, Ariz. Witnesses were Randy Towner, Scot Buxton and Tim Fritzel.
