? Ohio University forward Leon Williams put on quite a show in the Bobcats’ 61-55 victory over Maryland on Wednesday night.

Williams, a 6-foot-8, 245-pound senior who grew up a Maryland fan while living in nearby Baltimore, scored 15 points off 6-of-7 shooting and grabbed 15 rebounds. He helped the Bobcats improve to 6-2 heading into Saturday’s game against Kansas University at Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo.

Jerome Tillman, a 6-6 junior forward, scored 20 points off 8-of-14 shooting. Forward Justin Orr scored nine points.

Ohio handed Maryland just its fourth nonconference home loss in the last 19 seasons. Maryland entered 131-3 at home against competition outside the ACC since Gary Williams took over the program in 1989, including a 50-2 mark in the Comcast Center.

Ohio’s two losses this season have both been by two points, at Holy Cross and at Temple.
