Chicago markets

Agricultural futures advanced sharply Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for March delivery rose 30 cents, to settle at $9.405; March corn added 9 cents to $4.33; March oats rose 3.25 cents to $2.9475; January soybeans gained 14.5 cents to $11.50. On the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, February live cattle dipped 0.43 cent to 96.82 cents; January feeder cattle fell 0.82 cent to $1.0515; February lean hogs dropped 1.32 cents to 61.7 cents; February pork bellies lost 2.2 cents to 89.6 cents.
