Sooners punish Golden Hurricane

Corpus Christi, Texas – Crystal Boyd scored a career-high 16 points, and Texas held Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to 26 percent shooting.

Boyd went 6-for-10 from the field, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range for the Longhorns (7-2). Brittainey Raven added 13 points, and Earnesia Williams had 11 points, four rebounds, two blocks and two steals.

Elisa Beagle led the Islanders (1-7) with nine points and six rebounds.

Texas had a season-high nine 3-pointers, going 9-for-21 from 3-point range, and outrebounded the Islanders 49-32.

Ashley Lindsey and Kathleen Nash had seven rebounds apiece.
