Topeka Gov. Kathleen Sebelius said Friday she hoped Iraqis could move quicker to resolve their differences so that U.S. troops could come home.
"We are at year five - a very unclear pathway for the future," Sebelius said. "I'm a believer that it's time for the Iraqis to step up and take over and that we begin to rapidly bring troops out of there."
Asked if Democrats should be doing more to try to force President Bush to wind down the war, she said Democrats simply don't have the two-thirds majorities needed to override a Bush veto on war issues.
Her comments came after a news conference announcing the donation of funds to help Kansas National Guard troops get home for the holidays before they deploy to Iraq.

The Governor of Kansas has enough trouble running her own stste, and after studying her lack of progress as Governor, I don't put much faith in anything she says!

Stand in line, Queen Kathy. Everyone wants them home, but the job just isn't quite done.

Queen Kathy will work hard to put a secret team together to get the job done. Then deny responsibility and tell the AG not to prosecute. The AG will recommend a seminar on how to be more effective at secret activity.
