Chicago markets

Futures rose sharply Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for March delivery jumped 17.25 cents to $8.94; March corn gained 7.75 cents to $4.1125; March oats rose 3.75 cents to $2.7925; January soybeans added 12.75 cents to $10.915. Beef and pork futures declined on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. February live cattle fell 0.07 cent to 96.3 cents; January feeder cattle shed 1.05 cents to $1.07; February lean hogs lost 0.9 cent to 60.32 cents; February pork bellies fell 1.17 cents to 89.55 cents.
