MUSKOGEE, OKLA. ? Tahni Edmo scored 22 points, and Haskell Indian Nations University defeated Bacone, 58-51, on Saturday in women’s basketball.

Kortney Smith added 12 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals, and Whitney Warrior scored 10 points.

Haskell shot 73 percent from the free-throw line and forced 26 turnovers.

“We came up with really big steals,” Haskell coach Phil Homeratha said.

Haskell held Bacone to 32 percent shooting, and Bacone connected on just one of 14 from beyond the 3-point line.

Haskell (6-4) will play host to Western Colorado State on Tuesday.
