Ensuring your baby boy matures into a confident young man means giving him tips to face life’s challenges. The November issue of Best Life has this advice for parents:

¢ Relate. If an upcoming school dance or sports game is giving your boy butterflies, tell him about your own struggles with the same issues.

¢ Let him stand on his own two cleats. He needs to learn how to be a team player as well as a shining star. So, encourage your son to participate in sports that celebrate individual successes.

¢ Help him help those in need. Encouraging altruism can give the little man a sense of accomplishment.
