Jake Brown scored on an eight-yard run in the fourth quarter, but it was much too little much too late for the Central Junior High ninth-grade football team.

Olathe Prairie Trail scored all its points in the first half in a 42-0 victory Thursday at Central.

Southwest eighth-graders roll

Leavenworth – K.J. Pritchard and Anthony Buffalomeat connected on a 50-yard touchdown pass, and Reece Conklin scored on a 10-yard run to lift Southwest to a 16-0 victory against Leavenworth-Warren.

Scott Friesen and Ty Hensley recorded interceptions for Southwest (1-0).
