Sandrat Run: The annual Sandrat Trail Run will be Oct. 7 on the Kansas River Trails. The 9.5-mile event will start and finish at the Ballard Center in North Lawrence. For information, go to www.runlawrence.org or call 842-4351.

¢ Patt Shoots 63: William Patt posted a scorching 63 and won Saturday’s Jayhawk Golf Club weekly net tournament at Alvamar by six strokes over Ted Johnson and seven shots over Duane Dickson. Bob Losasso and Allen Schlup recorded 71s while Bob Kocour, Tom Taylor and Van Reichert each had a 73. Reichert’s three-over-par 75 was the low gross score.

¢ Penny Jones Tourney: Entry forms are available at www.lmh.org for the annual Penny Jones golf tournament to benefit the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Association. The tourney will be Sept. 7 on both Alvamar courses. For information, call Sarah Smith or Kathy Clausing at 749-6134.
