Negative portrayal
To the editor:
Who thought it was “cool” to portray Lawrence girls high school volleyball teams’ members as sullen, arrogant and contemptuous in the Aug. 28 photo? Where are the wholesome and enthusiastic faces that represent the values of at least two of the schools mentioned? Why promote these negative attitudes at the high school level?
