Topeka A grateful pet owner says she has Attorney General Paul Morrison to thank for her dog's safety.
Carmen Alldritt was on a walk two weeks ago with Buddy, her yellow Labrador, when an unleashed Doberman pinscher approached and attacked. The dogfight spilled into the middle of the street, Alldritt said, with Buddy getting the worst of it.
"Things just weren't going good, and my dog was in pain and suffering," she said. "And about that time, here came a shiny black pickup, and this guy gets out."
The guy was Morrison, she said, who waded into the fray enough to let Buddy spring loose. After a few stitches, he continues to recover.
Morrison would not talk about the incident, but Alldritt was grateful. "I mean, what other attorney generals in their states just stop in some neighborhood when they see something going on?" she said. "I'm so thankful."

Phill Kline would have walked away from the dog fight - and then solicited political contributions from the canines.

44x15: Correct on your grammar, but it was a direct quote of the lady. Not sure it's the reporter's job to correct a source's grammar…
oscarfactor, I think Phill would've pulled over, but wouldn't have jumped into the fray until he'd called up Bill on his cell phone and nailed himself a segment on an upcoming “Factor”…

I guess that means that week old news that you don't see somewhere else is still news. Heck, I could easily publish such a paper. Refer that to the 'citizens journalism academy'

Hey oldgoof if the story is so old and not news worthy why would you waste you time by not only reading the story but also reading the forum and then taking the time to post?
Great work Paul!

Let's put this into a human political perspective. Pat Boone is walking down the street minding his own when suddenly James Carville leaps viciously out and begins to tear him limb from limb. Chuck Norris (well, the mustache is about the same) pulls up and kicks Carville into a cocked hat.
Paul, had this been an election year, I'd investigate this incident thoroughly, or at least the political leanings of the two dogs. Way to go Paul, this outter be good for a reelection or two!
