Sale to help pay medical expenses

A benefit sale that will help raise the approximately $7,000 needed to help Donna “Sissy” Conrad will continue from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Leavenworth County Fairgrounds in Tonganoxie.

The money will be used to help Conrad, a Tonganoxie resident, pay for medical expenses she incurred during treatment for Arnold-Chiari Malformation, a genetic disorder that was cutting off the proper flow of spinal fluid in her body. The fundraiser will be in the open-air arena of the fairgrounds. Raffle tickets for a handmade quilt also will be available.

For more information about the sale or to make a donation, contact Peggy Folsom at (913) 682-6633.
