Rep. Sloan honored for attendance, service

State Rep. Tom Sloan, a Republican from Lawrence, won praise for attendance in the Legislature and work on water issues.

Sloan had a 100 percent voting attendance record during the 2007 legislative session.

“I commend him for his strong commitment to always be on the job for his constituents and willingness to make tough votes,” said House Speaker Melvin Neufeld, R-Ingalls.

Also this month, Sloan was presented with a plaque for his four years of service on the Kansas Water Authority. His term expired.

While on the authority, Sloan has worked on long-term reservoir viability issues statewide and nationally.

He is in his seventh term in the Kansas House.
