Man charged with 3 counts of child rape
Baldwin City ? A 40-year-old Baldwin City man has been charged with three counts of rape of a child, one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and one count of criminal sodomy.
The man, who was arrested by Lawrence police Thursday, was arraigned Friday in Douglas County Court.
The incidents allegedly occurred between November 2004 and March 2007 in Lawrence and Baldwin City.
He is being held in Douglas County Jail on $250,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. Aug. 20.
The Journal-World generally does not name people accused of sex crimes unless there is a conviction.
