A Penny’s Concrete Inc. truck blocked traffic late this afternoon at the busy Sixth and Massachusetts street intersection.

A police officer at the scene said part of the mixer on the concrete truck – which was hauling about 14,000 pounds of concrete – apparently broke from the truck frame. It did not completely separate from the truck.

The incident occurred about 5 p.m., and traffic was routed around the intersection. By about 5:40 p.m. the truck was hauled away and traffic was moving through the intersection again.
