To the editor:

Thank God one of our congresspersons has stood up vocally and, in action, demonstrated her opposition to the Iraq war. When Nancy Boyda briefly walked out of that hearing she was representing me and the majority of the people of the 2nd District that are being fed false information by our political and military leaders. The fact that the general at the hearing stated that the conditions in Iraq were safe and acceptable was just too much to bear.

We need to hear and see such actions from all our elected leadership. Staying in this insane war will end in our great nation losing its political, moral and economic leadership in our world. I celebrate Congresswoman Boyda’s stepping out. She has already give the 2nd District more bold leadership than we’ve had in the previous 12 years.
