Pioneer Ridge seeks volunteers interested in spending time with seniors. Volunteers are needed to give manicures, visit with pets, lead a sewing circle, help with games, teach painting and serve as personal readers. Times vary but are flexible to the volunteer’s schedule.

¢ Trinity In-Home Care is looking for a human resources volunteer/intern to work with management on volunteer recruitment and management, policy writing, fundraising, community relations and strategic planning. The volunteer should have experience in the personnel/human resources field or with business development.

¢ Women’s Transitional Care Services needs volunteers to help with Take Back the Night on Thursday, Oct. 4. The event will provide a place to take a stand against violence and abuse in the community.

Planning meetings will be every second and fourth Thursday of the month until the event. Meetings start at 6 p.m. and usually last about two hours.

Volunteers on stage can work as actors and crew members helping with props, costumes, set construction, lights and sound. Off-stage volunteers can help as house managers, ushers, box office attendants and bartenders. Volunteers also are needed to help in the business office with tasks including taking ticket reservations, filing and photocopying.
