While state officials expected a 33 percent voter turnout in the coming primary elections, Patty Jaimes, Douglas County clerk, said she believed the local figure would fall between 20 and 25 percent. She said indications were that only about 8,000 to 9,000 of the county’s 35,701 registered voters would go to the polls.
