Insight Fellowship plans fundraiser

The Insight Fellowship Program, a nonprofit group that promotes global awareness and conflict resolution, will have a fundraising event Saturday at Pachamama’s restaurant, 800 N.H.

In addition to a slideshow, Julia Gegenheimer, Lawrence resident Insight fellow, will give a presentation about her work in international conflict resolution. She returned last month from a yearlong fellowship traveling to places such as Cyprus, Cambodia and the Netherlands. As an Insight fellow, she has worked with the United Nations and has served as a consultant to the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.

The event is designed to spark interest in international opportunities, showcase how Lawrence residents affect international affairs and encourage discussion and debate on issues of conflict resolution, global politics and international travel.

The fellowship program will take donations at the event, which begins at 2:30 p.m.
