Lawrence Community Theatre will have auditions for “The Secret Garden” this month, will roles for both children and adults.

Auditions will be at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the theater, 1501 N.H. Those auditioning are asked to prepare a short song. Scripts may be checked out from the theater office with a deposit.

Show dates are Sept. 21-Oct. 7.

Written by Marsha Norman, and based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, with music by Lucy Simon, this classic features an orphaned girl, her embittered reclusive uncle, a magic locked garden, and some of the most beautiful music ever written for Broadway.
