Something like this always involves a learning curve. Once we get past that, it will be nice. Navigating around the site is the most important thing for me. I hate to have to go back to :start" to re-read something. This appears to be an improvement on that part.

Next, every man, woman and child will be responsible for filling one pothole.

Homeowners being responsible for their respective sidewalks is not new just rarely enforced.

Pogo,

Why not maintain sidewalks as part of property maintenance and avoid any action by the city thereby avoiding any so called tax. Keeping sidewalks free and clear of debris makes it easier for walkers, jopggers and those who travel by wheel chair.

Any community would tax for sidewalk maintenance which is why it is best for homeowners/property owners to do their own. Rental property sidewalks are likely the most neglected and should reimburse the city. Those who are physically unable could be considered for preferential consideration.

Volunteer boards have only advisory capacity and do not set policy. Your remarks indicate you know little about Lawrence advisory boards and their appointments. My appointment history would prove your allegations without foundation. There are plenty of appointments of others that could prove your implications without merit.
