Soybean futures retreated and grains finished mixed Tuesday. Wheat for May delivery fell 10 1/2 cents to $4.83 1/2 a bushel; May corn rose 8 1/4 cents to $3.60 1/2 a bushel; May oats fell 1 1/2 cent to $2.52 1/2 a bushel; May soybeans fell 11 1/2 cents to $7.09 3/4 a bushel. On the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, June live cattle rose .15 cent to 93.30 cents a pound; May feeder cattle rose .15 cent to $1.0912 a pound; May lean hogs fell .80 cent to 75.85 cents a pound; May pork bellies fell .70 cent to $1.0245 a pound.
