PLATTE CITY, MO. ? Blaine Wise, who played football this past season at Haskell Indian Nations University, was named defensive player of the game for his team at the NAIA Victory Sports Senior Game on Saturday.

Wise, a 6-foot-2, 245-pound defensive end, played for the Nationals, 16-6 losers to the Americans at the All-Star event.

“It was a national game, and there were a lot of good kids there,” HINU coach Eric Brock said.
