Air Force Airman Jesse L. Brown graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

During six weeks of training, Brown studied the Air Force mission, organization and military customs and courtesies, performed drill and ceremony marches and received instruction in physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises and human relations.

Brown is the son of Colleen Lobb, Lawrence, and Adam Brown, Arlington, Texas.

¢Army Reserve Pvt. Craig A. Elmer graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.

During nine weeks of training, Elmer received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses.

He is the son of Pat Elmer, Eudora, and is a 2005 graduate of Eudora High School.
