The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Betty Washington Chapter, will meet at 9 a.m. today at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor, 1429 Kasold Drive, before attending a tour of the Dole Institute of Politics’ archives at 10:30 a.m. on Kansas University’s West Campus.

¢University Bridge Club announces the results of its April 14 meeting. Hosts were George and Aileen Bocquin. Blue winners were Dave Gaumer, first; Karmie Galle, second; Virginia Williams, third; Tom Waller, fourth; and Paul Jordan, fifth. Pink winners were Jane Golden, first; Mary Gaumer, second; Hazel Stellmacher, third; Lois Liebert, fourth; and Cora Kuepker, fifth.

¢The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club played a stratified Mitchell movement at eight tables directed by Chris Lane on April 4. Playing North-South, Ed Howard and Bobby Patton won first in A. Lois Clark and Shirley Reese won second in A and first in B, and Ann Thompson and Pat Musick won third in A, second in B and first in C. Phyllis Brownlee and Virginia Eddy won second in C and third in B.

Jeane Landry and Cathy Blumenfeld led the East-West teams, placing first in A, followed by Paul Heitzman and Dave Piro who won third, and Virginia Seaver and Madelyn Jenks who won third in A. Mark Osborn and Gary Joyce won first in B, and Klee Zaricky and Betty Collier won second in B. Bebe Huxtable and Wanna Roszel won first in C.

¢The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club played a stratified Mitchell movement at nine and a half tables directed by Virginia Seaver on April 6. Mona Bell and Madelyn Jenks won first overall, placing first in A, B and C. Yvonne Hedges and Chris Lane won second in A and B, and Jeane Landry and Harry Shaffer won third in A. Klee Zaricky and Chuck Hedges won third in B.

At East-West, Paul Heitzman and David Piro won first in A, followed by Bob Dailey and Mark Osborn who won second in A and first in B. Mary and Gary Joyce won first in C, second in B and third in A. Lois Clark and Cathy Blumenfeld won second in C and third in B.

¢The Kaw Valley Bridge Center’s Annual Anniversary and Membership Game was conducted April 14. Jeff Nash directed the 11 tables in a Swiss Team game. Steve Day, Jim Kelley, Eleanor Patton and Bobby Patton won five matches and first place. Clarice Broz, Marilyn Martin, Donna Johnson and James Masilamani won four matches and second place. Virginia Johnston, Lewis Johnston, Virginia Seaver and Paul Heitzman won third. Julia and Lester Dalton and Jane and David Holzman came in fourth.

¢The Monday Evening Bridge Club played a stratified Mitchell movement at 10 and a half tables directed by Virginia Seaver on April 16. Terry Tolar and Harry Shaffer won first in A playing North-South, followed by Clyde Romer and Jeane Landry who won second. Third in A was won by Larry Bodle and Kent McCullough. Martie Hartman and Pat Burgstahler won first in B and C, and Madelyn Jenks and Phyllis Brownlee won second in both strata.

Larry Brock and Jeff Nash led the East-West teams winning first in A and B. Jerry Sloan and Lois Clark won second in A, and Donna Johnson and James Masilamani won third. Linda Swain and Linda Randall won first in C and second in B, followed by Jo Andersen and Pat Musick who won third in B and second in C.
