Clothesline Project to be displayed at KU

The Clothesline Project, made available by Women’s Transitional Care Services, will be on display at Hashinger Hall for the residence hall’s annual Spring Arts Week.

The display will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Hashinger Hall theater.

The project is a visual display of shirts decorated to represent a particular woman’s experience. The shirts are made anonymously by the woman or by someone who cares about her.

“Spring Arts Week enables the residents of Hashinger Hall to express themselves artistically outside the classroom,” said Diana Hall, president of Hashinger hall. “We want people who don’t live in Hashinger Hall to be able to share in our art and become aware of community resources at the same time.”
