April 9, 2007

On Thursday, May 10, LJWorld.com, 6News, the Journal-World and Lawrence.com will document, hour-by-hour, a full day in the life of Lawrence. We want to get to every part of town and report about every kind of activity that goes on during the lives of our neighbors at school, at work and play.

And we want your help.

We're asking Journal-World readers to share their story ideas with us. Do you have an event happening that day? Or is there something interesting going on in your daily life?

Let us know. Send an e-mail to editor@ljworld.com with the subject heading "24 Hours," and we might make your story part of our report.

Discrimination or typical search warrant?

http://www.forums.larryville.com/viewtopic.php?t=23101

After nearly two years of investigations & False allegations into an Alleged largest ever fencing case; 5 search warrants served on the Second hand store Yellow HOuse and the business's owners home.

numerous search warrants & subpoena's into the banking records, sales records, financial institutions and online auction services used by the Yellow House,

hundreds of hours of surveillance,

numerous interrogations,

proffers,

press conferences filled with libal assumptions of guilt asserted by police spokespersons,

Multiple agency investigations including the Postal service, the IRS, Social Security Administration,
The Justice Dept. and The Lawrence Police dept.

Involving hundreds of agents and law enforcement officers, Multiple sting operation attempts and altered video evidence,

Thousands of dollars worth of merchandise and personal property owned by the Business the defendants and their family members seized and held indefinitely without due process.

Multiple civil rights violations, etc. http://www.forums.larryville.com/viewtopic.php?t=25793

This lengthy and expensive investigation has uncovered the possibitly there might have been a weed in the Yellow House Garden!

Now they have to stand trial. Accused of being an unlawful user.

Taxpayers dollars well spent?

This appears to be the first time someone with

no criminal history, no drug history, no drug buys or sales, no drug stamp charges, no manufacturing charges, no felony or misdemeanors on record, No illegal gun charges, no priors involving firearms, upstanding citizens of the community, highly involved in community service and helping the less fortunate for years,

has ever in the history of the 10th circuit court been charged under this statute!

And you question my ax?

Officers have been allowed to commit offences without the commencement of adequate investigation by officials into their actions.

We feel the continued surveillance from the Fire station next to Dairy Queen on Massachusetts, and ongoing attempts to set us up are a waist of the tax payer's money, when this same department refuses to investigate complaints regarding the misconduct of their own officers submitted by citizens within the community.
