Cold weather has forced postponement of several city high school sports events.

Thursday night’s Free State High softball doubleheader with Shawnee Mission Northwest has been rescheduled for noon on April 28.

Free State’s baseball game with Olathe Northwest, set for 11 a.m. today, has been moved to 5 p.m. on May 7.

The Firebirds’ girls soccer match with Topeka High on today’s schedule was reset for 6 p.m. on April 16.

And Free State’s track team won’t be going to the Blue Valley Relays today. That meet has been postponed until Monday.

Lawrence High’s track trip to the Topeka High Relays at Hummer Park has been postponed until Monday, and the Lions’ softball doubleheader at Olathe Northwest has been pushed back until Thursday.
